Help Support Breast Cancer Awareness with Girls' Basketball
The girls’ basketball program is helping sponsor and support breast cancer awareness by wearing pink to all home games this week (Mon 2/8, Wed 2/10-Homecoming, and Fri 2/12 - Girls' Basketball Parochial Night). There will also be t-shirts for sale to support a local foundation…so wear your pink and help raise awareness! See more details here.
Girls’ Basketball Parochial Night at LCHS
All girls in grades 5-8 who play parochial basketball are invited to attend the Lexington Catholic Girls’ home game vs. Simon Kenton High School on Friday, February 12, 2010. Any girl who wears her parochial jersey will be admitted free to this game. Game times in Bueter Gym: JV game- 6:00, and Varsity-7:30. Parochial players and coaches will be recognized at halftime of the Varsity game. The girls will also be invited to tour the Hall of Champions and the Girls’ Basketball Locker Room at halftime of the JV game with Head Coach Tony Talbott.
Choir Performance at Centenary United Methodist ChurchThe fourth annual Victory Brass and Friends program will feature some of our nation's finest brass artists brought together for a weekend of great musical collaboration. In addition to works for brass by Gabrieli, Bach, and Strauss, the program will feature trumpeter Vincent DiMartino and his son Gabriel with organist Schuyler Robinson in a complete performance of "Pictures at an Exhibition." Combined choirs from Centenary Church, Central Christian Church, and Lexington Catholic High School, will join us in performances of Vaughan Williams' "O Clap Your Hands," "Finlandia" by Sibelious, and the first movement of Rutter's "Gloria." The free concert will begin at 7pm, on Sunday evening February 28th in the sanctuary of Centenary United Methodist Church. Centenary is located at 2800 Tates Creek Road and Old Mt.
