Pam led the Council in a prayer before we shared a wonderful meal with food and drink provided by Susie, Darlene, Beth, Sandy, Kerry, Pam and Frank.

  1. Mid-Knight Stakes, February 7th, 2009

Pam reported that the Gift Giving Parties were done and that $4700 had been raised for shopping.  The invitations are printed and will be mailed out the first week of January.  Volunteers will meet Thursday, December 18th, at the school to help stuff the envelopes in preparation for mail out.

There will be a car raffle this year.  This year’s raffle will include a selling incentive for all athletic, academic or scholastic teams at Lexington Catholic.  Teams selling a certain number of raffle tickets will be entitled to a percentage of those sales for their teams.

Both silent and live auction items have been coming into the school.  They are still looking for a puppy as part of the live auction.

Volunteers will be needed for several venues that evening.  Anyone wanting to volunteer should contact Pam Schneider (pschneider@lexingtoncatholic.com) or Debbie Schnurr (DTSCHNURR@aol.com).  As usual, the volunteers will be treated to a pot luck dinner throughout the night.

  1. Phonathon – Wednesday, November 12, 2008.  Sandy reported that $15,000 had been pledged for this event.  There were a lot of first time donors.  Sandy also reported that the Annual Fund was doing well with donations.

  1. Principal’s Cup Monday, May 11, 2009.  Event begins at noon.  Todd Myers & Mark Hinkel will be co-chairing this event.  Pam encouraged all members present to really talk up this event. We’ll need volunteers to solicit hole sponsorships, tournament sponsors, prizes and PLAYERS!!!  Kerry said she’d talked to a friend of hers and they were planning on playing and sponsoring a hole.

Because Todd was unable to join us, Pam decided to table the discussion of the By-Laws until such time as Todd was with us and we would review them and edit accordingly.

We set a tentative January meeting for Wednesday, January 7th at 6 PM at the President’s House.

Until then, may your holidays be blessed with good health, good friends and warm memories.
